Proper Watering Habits is the First step in Conditioning the Turf to Produce Deep Growing Roots and a Dense Grass Foundation. The System should providing a deep watering enough to wet the root zone. Usually 3/4 to about 1 inch to encourage development of strong deep root system. The next watering period should be when signs or wilt or turf stress is notice, if you walk across the turf and it lies down. This may relate too 2-3 deep watering times per week during the Hot Summer months while during the Cooler Winter months only a single 1" weekly watering is necessary.
