Fantasy Lawns Inc. is located on Merritt Island (the thin strip of land in photo) which is unincorporated with No City Hall, Mayor or Police (Brevard County Sheriff) we are part of Historic Brevard County Florida Slivered between the Indian & Banana River (Indian River Lagoon) just West of Cocoa Beach or just East of Cocoa. We have Titusville just to the North and Melbourne & Palm Bay to our South all make up the Space Coast in Brevard County. Our local High School is home to the Mustangs Florida Fishing is Great and we live in a Fishing Paradise with the Indian & Banana River producing some of the best Trout, Red Fish & Snook Fishing on the East Coast. Out of Cape Canaveral or as most say "the Port", is access to some great Salt Water Fishing with Dolphin, Cobia, King Fish & Killer Bottom Fishing. The NASA program has brought much growth to our Area and watching the Shuttle Launches from Cape Kennedy from one's front yard is a bonus. Other large employers is NASA related such as Harris & Rockwell and then we have Sea Ray. We can also thank "I Dream of Jeannie" for familiarizing everyone to our beautiful area and then we have The Monsters of the Midday which have the BEST Mid Day Radio Show in the World. Our Local Parks are among the best for family outings to relaxing by the water or to launch a boat. This is a Wild Life Refuge area, where each winter numerous varieties of bird call this "home" We are also home to the Florida Manatee (protected mammal) as this is a National Sanctuary. Our largest source of economic income is Tourist, driven to Cocoa Beach, Ron Jon's and NASA. This area has some of the best Surfing on the East Coast, with the world attention from a local "Kelly Slater" the waves aren't huge (unless a Hurricane is near) so it takes alot of skill to work em' This is a laid back area with a small amount of "Nite Life" mainly on the beach, such as "The Pier" but one has to go to Orlando for the "Church Street" Action, which is about 45 Min drive. Spring season brings many Major League Baseball Teams to our Vero Area. Travel to Daytona for Speed Week, Bike Week or Spring Break is about 45 Min. drive. Tampa is about 2.5 Hours. Miami is 3 Hours & Key West is an easy 6.5 Hour drive. Florida is a Major Sports State both Professional & College. Nascar provides us with 3 Winston Cup Races, with the "Granddaddy" Daytona 500, Pepsi 400 and then the Pennzoil 400 in Homestead. This is also the "Retirement State" with NO State Income Tax, alot of "white heads" drive our roads, so drive with patience! years, this is the "Sunshine State". We are also the "Lighting
Capital" of the World with over 800 yearly. Tropical Storms, Tornados &
Hurricanes is part of our Weather. We are the "Bug Capital" of America with the Mosquito heading the pack, then there is the "Love Bug" myth has it that they where produced by University of Florida, to eat Mosquito larva is un-true. All they do is ....well the name says it, when they mate its can be like a drive thru a snow flurry on 95 (they are attracted to Carbon Dioxide)
